Sunday Post (52) / Stacking the Shelves (32)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Ahoy.

Boo, it snowed. But that also means a little bit warmer. Still watching the Olympics. Otherwise still nothing too interesting. My poor phone had a slight meltdown a few days ago, thankfully the stuff was most backed up. It’s reading week for school this week, that means I get to spend all my time reading right? ha. Hope everyone’s having a lovely mid-February!

 BOOK HAUL

STSmall_thumb25255B225255DStacking the Shelves post! Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, Stacking the Shelves is a chance to showcase new books, ones checked out from the library, bought, won or received for review.

Dash of Peril - Lori FosterThe Ring and The Crown - Melissa de la Cruz(01) Dash of Peril by Lori Foster
(02) The Ring & the Crown by Melissa de la Cruz

Thanks to Avon & Disney Hyperion & Netgalley for the e-arcs! Dash’s story, I can’t wait (I also love the title!). I really enjoyed the other books in the Love Undercover series, and I’m hoping for more Cannon too! Also, how gorgeous is The Ring and the Crown? Been debating requesting it, but ended up caving b/c the story sounded pretty interesting.  Seriously, very excited for both books.

My Life from Hell - Tellulah DarlingOn The Fence - Kasie West(04) My Life from Hell by Tellulah Darling
(05) On the Fence by Kasie West

Thanks to Te Da Media/Netgalley and HarperTeen/Edelweiss! So My Life from Hell is the last book in the Blooming Goddess series, which was so much to read (my reviews for the first two books here), I’m excited to see how the finale is. And On The Fence (which unlike everyone else, I’m behind on checking EW and only realized it’s on there this week ha)!! I loved Kasie West’s Distance Between Us so I’m excited for more of her contemporaries. I’m hoping to read Pivot Point soon.

  1. Dash *swoon* I have my copy ready to read! Glad your phone is ok. Happy Reading 🙂

    1. Definitely swoon.
Me too, yay for backup! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. We’re watching a lot of Olympics here too. I never read Stardust but saw the movie, and was curious about the book but never got to it. I should read that since I usually like the book better…

    1. I really enjoyed the movie. Been meaning to check out the book too, and our book club decided to read it, so it was prefect! The book was great, I ended up liking both, just different aspects.

  3. Ring and the Crown is so gorgeous and sounds like a great fantasy! It must have been a bad week for phones—I left mine at a book signing that was an hour+ away from my house. UGH.

    1. I know right! The cover is so pretty.
Aww, that’s annoying. I hope you got your phone back though!

  4. We got snow, too. Unusual for us here in NC though. 🙂 Great haul! Have a wonderful week!

    1. Snow isn’t unusual here haha, but it’s still a pain, all the drifts. Stay warm!

    1. I actually saw the movie first, then read the book. Loved both, just for different reasons haha.

  5. My week from Hell sounds interesting, I notice it’s part 3 of a series. With Stardust, I actually felt that the movie was quite good (if you’ve seen it) and did the book justice. Doesn’t happen often. Keep safe with all that snow and Happy reading.
