Sunday Post (71) / Stacking the Shelves (51)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

So the dirty donkey mud run was yesterday and boy am I pooped. Everything is sore, haha! The obstacles got harder this year (which was awesome) and definitely extra muddy. I probably should train harder. The weather’s been kinda of mix. Sunny and hot, and really big thunder storms all in one day. It’s actually not that bad.

Just one this week because I need to catch up! Thanks to Netgalley.

Forged by Desire - Bec McMaster

Book 4 of Bec McMaster’s London Steampunk series! I’ve been so excited for Garret and Perry since book 3 (My Lady Quicksliver) and we got that huge teaser when Garret finally saw Perry as a girl, muahaha. Seriously though, this series is definitely getting better which each book!

YAAAAAY! So excited to finish of this series. I love the typography! Two copies, one for me, one for my friend, because sharing is caring right! My collection is now complete!

  1. Love the cover of Ruin and Rising.Ha, the monkey mud race sounds like a blast. It has been hot and very humid here. Tis’ the summer season 🙂 Have a spectacular week Cyn!

  2. Yay for giving Open Road Summer 5 stars – I loved that book and it still remains as the best book I’ve read in 2014. Matt Finch is so damn swoonworthy.

  8. The Mud Run sounds really fun… and really tiring. I’m now starting on Kiss of Deception, just a few pages in.. not yet sure how I’m feeling about it. And yes to Bec McMaster. Her London Steampunk series does get better and better with every book. I can’t wait for Forged by Desire and Of Silk and Steam.. kyaah! 🙂

  9. OOOOO! I’ve heard good things about the author of Forged by Desire! I have yet to read any of her books though. I do love historical romance novels though – I reviewed one of Katharine Ashe’s today, and I’ll have a review of C.L. Wilson’s latest one tomorrow! I seriously cannot get enough of historical romance novels 😀 I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Cyn!!

    Have a fabulous week!
