Sunday Post (76) / Stacking the Shelves (56)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Apparently August is the month to do all the activities! I went to the Bruno Mars concert last week, and he’s quite fabulous live, him and his band mates are so cute b/c they dance and remind me of a boy band, ha. I also went to The Ex, (a sort of fair thing) and Walk Off the Earth was there and they’re really good live, too. And I probably ate waaaay to much greasy (but delicious food). I can’t resist spudnuts and curly fries. It was also The Fringe Festive, so I went to that (to eat more, and see the local artists and performers)

Here’s some photos!

Not too many this week. Mostly all those romance novels that came out at the end of July that I’ve been waiting to read, ha (which I’ve actually finished them all).

Since You've Been Gone - Morgan Matson

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson

I’ve been waiting to read this one for a while! And since it sounds like a super cute summer read, figured I should try to read this one soon (: I heard there’s a good book-boyfriend…haha.

So yeaah. Totally was in a historical romance kinda mood this last week, and I definitely already read them all, too haha. I sort of have a book hangover. I need to go find some more HR lol.

  1. Congrats on the blogoversary/ followers. Nice review of Illusive, BTW. Been wondering about that one… like the premise a lot.

The concert looks like a lot of fun.

    1. Thank you! (to both!) Hope you enjoy Illusive, too!
      It was fun!

  2. Sounds like a fun week. I love Bruno Mars!
Nice haul too. Since You’ve Been Gone is on my wish list as I really enjoyed Morgans two previous books. And that cover is just so summery!

    1. I’ve only read Amy & Roger, but I really liked that one, and I’ve heard so many awesome things about Since You’ve Been Gone! Agree, the perfect summer cover (:

  3. I don’t go to concerts a lot. 🙁 And we don’t have many festivals here.. So jealous of you right now, Cyn! And happy blogoversary! <3 <3

    1. I don’t usually either! But for some reason there was a bunch all together! We only have summer festivals, but my city is kinda small, so they’re a bit lame but I love them 😉 Thanks, Aimee!!

  4. That looks quite fun!

    Here’s my Sunday Post!

  5. I Adored a Lord is a great title for a book and I don not know why. It makes me chuckle, yes, chuckle.

    1. Me too, actually! I think it’s the sorta rhyme..haha.

  6. Bruno Mars! I like that guy too. He’s handsome and has a great voice too 😛
Congratulations for the 500+ followers and the blogaversary, Kim and Cyn! Keep munching books!

    1. He is and does! Haha. Thanks so much!! We will 😉

  7. Happy blogoversary! I go through genre moods too though it’s been awhile since I read a really good historical. Have a great week!

    1. Thanks! Yeaaah, I tend to binge read genres haha. Oh I hope you find a good soon, they’re so much fun to read 😉

  8. I can’t believe you read THAT many historicals in a week!!! Are you talking funny now? Wanting wear dresses all the time? I still want to start reading that genre…. 🙂 I’ve found a few I think I’ll like, too.

I love your Celebrating All Things giveaway! We should all do that 😉 Congrats on your blogoversary!!!

    1. I know right! I just go sucked in and kept going, haha. I wanna use old English words all the time now lol You should definitely check HR! What’s caught your eyes so far? I can probably recommend some too 😉
Thanks!! It’s fun to celebrate all the things, haha (:

  9. Sounds like you’ve been having a lot of fun. 🙂 Enjoy your new books and happy reading.

    1. I have been, thanks!

  10. Have a great reading week and enjoy your historicals 😉

    1. Thanks! I will 😉 Already scoping for new ones, haha!

  11. My daughters went to see Bruno Mars in Lincoln July 30th, they said the concert was fantastic. You are a reading machine! Have an awesome week 🙂

    1. It was such a cool show! So many lights, haha. Glad to hear they enjoyed it, too! Thanks!

  12. A great August – sounds fab!

  13. Strange I commented earlier and it has disappeared!! Anyway, it sounds like you’re having a fun August.

    1. Oh, sometimes the comments need to approved before you see them, that’s probably what happend!
      I have been, thanks (:

Glad you are having the most amazing August!!

    1. THANKS JESS!!

  15. Never been to a Bruno concert but from what I’ve seen from friends going, it looks like a lot of fun. I like when an artist gets on stage and entertains and doesn’t just get up on the stage an sing.

    1. Totally agree! I definitely love it when artist has great showmanship to go with their singing (:

  16. Festivals and concerts and celebrations involving cities are so fun! 😀 And OMG I’ve read three of the four historical romance novels you have up there. The Winter King was my FAVORITE of the three, and definitely my favorite historical romance novel of the year. Tough it’s more fantasy romance than historical romance. I loved Sophie Jordan’s A Guide next, and then I Adored A Lord. Haven’t read the Rogue one yet though D: I hope you enjoy all of your new books and the new week, Cyn!!

    Thanks for visiting my blog!

  17. AHHHHHHHHHH, you saw Bruno Mars live? Jealous! I haven’t gone to see anyone live in a year. 🙁 Sounds like you had fun though, so yay! 🙂 The only fair thing we have around here, is around the leisure centre, and it’s usually boring. There are so many books I need to buy, Since You’ve Been Gone is one of them…even if I keep getting Kelly Clarkson in my head, haha. 😉 Happy reading!

  18. Ooh, Since You’ve Been Gone! I need to read that! Before it’s cold again! (Though it’s not like it gets especially cold in Mississippi…) I always love watching Bruno Mars on awards shows, so I imagine a whole concert is seriously fun. Also, what’s a spudnut? Is it a potato doughnut??
