Sunday Post (78) / Stacking the Shelves (58)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Oh my, only one more week until my big move for school! I’m still not really packed yet, eep. I started watching season two of Orphan Black with my friend, and we’re only on episode 4, but and hollllllly moly, it’s even more badass than season one already!! The weather has (unfortunately) cooled off quite a bit here /sadface. Hopefully it’ll be warmer in the new city! But I did go yummy Korean food with my siblings yesterday, so that warmed us right up!

STSmall_thumb25255B225255DStacking the Shelves post! Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, Stacking the Shelves is a chance to showcase new books, ones checked out from the library, bought, won or received for review.

Nothing for review but the books I got for my birthday arrived (:

Legend by Marie Lu
Prodigy by Marie Lu
Champion by Marie Lu

Got the book set! I’ve definitely heard a lot of great things about this series so I figured by why no! Plus, I just recently found out that this series is inspired by Les Mis! That’s kind a cool.

Of Metal & Wishes by Sarah Fine

I seriously can’t get over how pretty this book is. I love the details on the dust jacket. And this one is apparently a Phantom of the Opera inspired story! Can’t wait to check this one out (:

  1. I’ve heard the Marie Lu series is really good too. Nice post on your NZ trip too. I think it’s really cool you got to see the hobbit houses.

    Good luck with the move!

    1. Me, too. Hopefully it lives up to expectations (:
The hobbit houses were super cute, haha. Thanks, Greg!

  2. I love the look of Metal and Wishes too and Sarah Fine is such an original writer. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one. Hope the move for school goes well.

    1. I haven’t read anything by her yet, but I’ve heard a lot of awesome things, so I’m extra excited (:

  3. inspired by les mis and phantom of the opera! that sounds promising 😀
hope you have a great week ahead!

    1. Hopefully they live up to expectations 😉 Thanks!

  4. The jacket is definitely catchy and I’ve heard good things about the Marie Lu series too. Have a great reading week, enjoy 😉

    1. I like the covers, too (: Thanks!

  5. I haven’t gotten around to reading Marie Lu’s books yet although they are definitely on my radar. Does No Limits refer to Lori Foster’s new release? I’ve been really curious about her books so I’ll probably start with this one. Have a great week ahead! And thanks for mentioning Orphan Black. I totally forgot that I wanted to check out this show.

    My Sunday Post

    1. Same, same!
Yes! Lori Foster’s No Limits! I hope you enjoy it!!

  6. I think Of Metal and Wishes looks soooo good. XD I’m excited for it! And plus I adore the Phantom of the Opera. My sister and I used to have quite the obsession with it…down to getting all the sheet music and learning it on the piano. 😉 We’re dedicated. And BEAUTIFUL Legend box set! My Sunday Post!

    1. You guys are so awesome! I’m a big fan, too. My favourite movie version is actually the black and white “silent” version, so I can make up my own dialogue, lol.
Thanks, it is quite pretty, isn’t it!

  7. I LOVE KOREAN FOOD. It’s sooo delicious, especially the hot pots! I’m so glad you picked up the Marie Lu box set, it’s so pretty, and a really great series too. Awesome that you got a copy of Of Metal and Wishes, I want to read it as well and can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it.

    1. ME TOO. I was crying tears of joy when my city (which is kinda tiny) finally got an authentic Korean restaurant, haha. I’m very excited to check out (both of them)!

  8. I still need to read the Legend series. My SNL has it, but she hasn’t read it yet and I usually only borrow from her AFTER she’s read them first. *sigh* The Korean food looks delish! Hope you have a great week!
