Sunday Post (81) / Stacking the Shelves (61)

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Ahoy!

I made it through my first week of school! It was a tiny bit overwhelming going through all the syllabus and seeing all the stuff I need to know, but hopefully it won’t be that bad, haha. I do already have a presentation due on Tuesday though (bad luck of the draw, stuck going first :/).

The weather’s finally warming up! We’ve been having terrible weather (it snowed/rained!) and I’m happy to see the sun! Went to the farmer’s market to get  fruit and my favorite delicious oregano pesto! And I picked up some wonderful Havarti (dill and herb spice) and pepper salami, too. I’m all ready for lunch next week!

 BOOK HAUL

STSmall_thumb25255B225255DStacking the Shelves post! Hosted by Tynga’s Reviews, Stacking the Shelves is a chance to showcase new books, ones checked out from the library, bought, won or received for review.

Two romances for review, and a couple to read!

Scandalous Summer Nights - Anne Barton

Scandalous Summer Nights (Honeycote #3) by Anne Barton

I’m really excited for this one because I love the Honeycote series! (REVIEW of the whole series on the blog) And I love the sounds of this one! Olivia’s been crushing on James for a while now!

Once Upon a Christmas Kiss - Manda Collins

Once Upon a Christmas Kiss (Wicked Widows 3.5) by Manda Collins

Another series I enjoyed (: Since book one, Why Dukes Say I Do, I’ve been waiting for Blakemore’s story and I just knew he was meant to be with Winnie Nightingale!

As seen here:

““If you tell me that he, too, as engaged a governess with a bird name I will have to adapt a child so that I can hire one as well,” Trevor’s friend said glibly.”
(And! Pretty sure, we’re already getting suggestions about who he might just have his story with, hint, hint, hint.)

Rebel Belle - Rachel Hawkins

Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins

Thought I’d grab this and give it a go! Heard it was lots of fun and I did really enjoy the Hex Hall series. I’ve already starting reading this and so far, so good! I’m totally loving Harper.

Right Kind of Wrong - Chelsea FineRight Kind of Wrong (Finding Fate #3) by Chelsea Fine

So recently I’d read Perfect Kind of Trouble, which was super fun, and so I figured I might as well grab the next one, since they hinted at this story (in the last book). It ended up being a one day read for me, haha. I really loved Jack. I need to go back and read book one sometime!

  1. I’ve been going back and forth and back and forth and sideways trying to decide if I wanted to nab Right Kind of Wrong to try out Chelsea Fine’s writing. I wasn’t sure if I should start a series in the middle or what. I don’t see an order number on them so I’m guessing I can pick one up????? Opinions???? 😀

  2. You’ve had snow already? Yikes. We had a downpour day on Friday where it basically rained all day, and it’s been cooler too… hope the week ahead is better and good luck with the presentation.

  3. I’ve head lots of good things about Rebel Belle and it’s one I want to check out sometime too.
And bad luck on the presentation but at least by going first you will get it out of the way quickly! They are never fun though.

  4. Snow ?! That’s impressive ! Well, enjoy your book haul and have a great week 😉

  5. Dill and Herb spice Havarti sounds amazing! You’re not allowed to have snow in September. That’s just all kinds of wrong. Good luck with the presentation. I always hated going first but then was so glad I had once it was over because I was done! Have a great week!

  6. I am sorry about the snow, I live in minnesota and I am dreading the day it comes :(. I hope you enjoy your books and have an amazing week 🙂

    Sunday Post

  7. Are you talking about the cheese Havarti? I used to buy that when I was in Denmark. I didn’t know you could get dill and herb spice flavour. Good luck with your presentation 🙂

  8. I’ve actually never read either of those two historical romance novels’ author’s books. Which was a really badly worded sentence… I think you get what I’m saying. Anne Barton isn’t familiar nor the other… I like the look of the first one though. And my friend keeps pushing Rebel Belle on me, so I’ll be reading it closer to the release date of book two! I hope you enjoy all of your new books 😀

    Have a fabulous week 🙂
