The Break Up Artist - Philip SiegelThe Break Up Artist by Philip Siegel

Love has no rules, no boundaries. It’s gone all these years unchecked. That doesn’t it make it whimsical; it makes it a tyrant.

I may not be an angel in all this, but I’m certainty not the bad guy either. If you can’t handle my line of work, then go read the latest bodice ripper. I’ll leave you with this: How many lives have been ruined by love?

Who’s really the bad guy here? (1% eARC Kindle)

So I really like this quote because well, it makes you think about love in different a way. I mean, I’m a total romantic at heart, I love me those happy endings, but sometimes you gotta wonder if people use love to just do whatever they want, and use it to justify their actions.

Thoughts, guys!?

PS. My review of the book

Searching for Perfect - Jennifer ProbstSearching for Perfect by Jennifer Probst

“Must be tough trying to bring love into the world.”

She crinkled her nose. “You making fun of me?”

“No I think you’re held to a higher power than me and my rockets. I help people get to space. You help people find love.” (54% eARC Kindle)

“I can always book a session with you to help overcome any barriers.”

“No, thank you. After a cracked-up Japanese warrior ripped up my body, a cranky gay man attacked me with scissors, and I got my ass handed to me by a Zumba session, I think I’m good. What’s on today’s agenda?” (39% eARC Kindle).

A little contrast to the The Break Up Artist teaser. The second teaser for Searching for Perfect is just because I think it’s hilarious. If you’re interested, here’s my review for this book! It was a fun read (:

  1. I like the voice of the narrator in the Break-Up Artist, she sounds nice and snarky. Here’s my latest Teaser: Mirror Sight.

  3. Zumba will do anyone in.

The first teaser sounds an awful lot like self-justification. I definitely believe in the power of love, but I’m not dewy eyed about it. Yeah, a lot of people use “love” as an excuse for bad behavior. I pity them.

  4. The teaser from Break Up Artist really made people think. Love the teasers from Searching for Perfect. I’ll probably be getting the book!

I really enjoyed both of these Teasers, but there is just something about the one you shared from The Break-Up Artist that has me rushing to add it to my TBR. I just love it! Thanks so much for sharing and for stopping by my Teaser. Happy Reading 🙂

  6. Yay! We’re teaser twins! I loved this book soooo hard!

  7. I LOVE that teaser from The Break-Up Artist! And you’re so right! I definitely think of love in an idealistic way, but there have to be people who use it for ill.
