Karigan G’ladheon is a Green Rider-a seasoned member of the royal messenger corps whose loyalty and her bravery have already been tested many times. And her final, explosive magical confrontation with Mornhavon the Black should have killed her.

But rather than finding death, and peace, Karigan wakes to a darkness deeper than night. The explosion has transported her somewhere – and into a sealed stone sarcophagus – and now she must escape, somehow, before the thinning air runs out and her mysterious tomb becomes her grave.

Where is she? Does a trap, laid by Mornhavon, lie beyond her prison? And if she can escape, will she find the world beyond the same – or has the magic taken her out of reach of her friends, home and King forever . . . ?

Oh how Ms. Britain loves to torment her readers. The last book, Blackveil, ended on a wicked cliffhanger. I’m pretty sure her readers everywhere cursed her name in unison. But, finally, our prayers have been answered and the new book release date is coming upon us!

  1. I haven’t heard of this book before but sounds like a really high fantasy book! Thanks for the pick ladies!

    1. I absolutely love this series. They’re all pretty big novels, but jammed packed with amazing. If you have even the slightest desire to read a well written high fantasy with a kickass female protagonist, this is it. (Or at least, it was for me.) 😉

  2. I’ve never heard of this book, Kim! Or the series. I love fantasy and length usually doesn’t bother me! I’ll have to check them out because you make the book sounds pretty kickbutt 😀

    Check out my WoW post!

    1. I picked up the 2nd book in this series at a random library book sale. It was a great find, and definitely a series I recommend. 🙂 I’d love to hear what you think of it, if you check it out.

  3. Ahh, cliffhangers are no fun when you have to wait!
Haven’t read this series but it sounds good!

    1. Especially with authors like Ms. Britain and there is no clear date for when the next book might come out. At least with the majority of ya books the follow ups are out the next year. Lol.

It is good! If you have a chance definitely give it a try. 😉

  4. Whew .. 784 pages, huh? That’s commitment. Hope it makes up for the killer cliffhanger.

    1. Haha, yeah. It’s a bit much. But considering the time between books, sometimes it feels like it’s never enough. 😀

  5. Wow, great pick! I still remember buying the first book back in 1999, strange to think it’s been that long but suffice to say I can’t wait to get my hands on Mirror Sight. It’s been a long wait, not long to go now though 🙂

    My WoW!

    1. Yes! Sometimes it’s crazy to imagine how much time has passed since the first book and that we’re finally book 5 this year.

      Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
