Weekly Wrap Up (12)

Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-up with Bookmunchies. This is our weekly update that combines Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer‘s SUNDAY POST and Tynga’s Reviews‘ STACKING THE SHELVES. This is a post to share news, to recap the week on the blog, share new reads and new books, and upcoming fun for the week ahead!

Hey guys, Jackie here,

Is it just me or did this week went by pretty quickly? It rained a bit here, which totally caught me off guard because the weatherman didn’t say it would be raining. Just super cloudy. Even though I should learn to bring an umbrella with me in May (‘May grey’) and June (‘June gloom’) I usually don’t because it should be hot in these months, right? But, I’m grateful to have awesome coworkers who lend me their extra umbrella when I forget to bring mine (I’m always deceived by the sun in my area.). Otherwise its been mostly a quiet week at work, which isn’t too bad.

  1. Nice review of Queens of Geek this week. I thought it was pretty good too.

  2. The weather has been so all over the place here this week sun then thunderstorms then just rain non stop I want the sun back. I haven’t read a Sarah Dessen book but I really want to read Once and for all. Have a great week.

    1. I hate that the weather is confusing for you too.

  3. Everyone is loving Queens of Geek, I really need to get on board! Have a great week 🙂

    1. Haha Queen of Geeks sounds like a fun read, but I’m not sure if I’m gonna be reading it.

  4. We are starting to edge into hot here. Which is okay.

    Have a great reading week!

    1. Hot is always okay.

  5. It was super nice, warm, and sunny here this week. Then Friday, Saturday, and today-rain. Oh well, we had a good run I suppose. My umbrella always seems to be in the place I don’t need it. In my office, in my car, etc. Oh well!
    Have a great week!

  6. You reviewed Queens of Geek, totally checking that one out. Have a great week!

  7. How is The Dark Prophecy? I’ve never read anything by Rick Riordan, and I feel like I’m definitely in the minority here. There’s just SO many books and series he’s written!

Hope you have a great week!

    1. The Dark Prophecy was an excellent sequel, but a bit sad to wait until next year to read the next book. But that’s something to look forward to next year. 🙂 If you were to start reading his books I’d suggest to read his Percy Jackson stuff first.

  8. Once and For All looks tempting. Thanks for sharing your week, and enjoy! Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    1. It was a really good read.

  9. Boo to the rain!! Glad to see you liked the new Sarah Dessen. Have a great week!!

  10. I must be one of the few who hasn’t read Queens Of Geek yet. Going to have to fix that. We had sunny days all week until the weekend. It’s been raining the whole time. Good thing I have some books handy. LOL

    My Sunday Post

  11. I never think to bring an umbrella with me anywhere. My husband always seems to have one though. I can’t wait to see what you think of Flame in the Mist. Have a great week!

  12. We needed a boat last week Jackie. It rained every day, all day. Hope this week is a good one for you, with lots of sunshine and good reads!

  13. “(aka. we procrastinate, so we can’t tell you what’s quite coming up yet).

    This is me lol

    For What It’s Worth

  14. I’m the worst about the whole umbrella thing! I never want to bring one with me because I don’t want to haul around an umbrella if I don’t need it (never mind the fact it weighs basically nothing) and I don’t want to haul around a soaking wet umbrella if I had to use it so I frequently find myself in some kind of disaster or another. One would think I would learn but it doesn’t seem to have sunk in yet. Have a great week!
