Weekly Wrap Up (41)

Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-up with Bookmunchies. This is our weekly update that combines Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer‘s SUNDAY POST and Tynga’s Reviews‘ STACKING THE SHELVES. This is a post to share news, to recap the week on the blog, share new reads and new books, and upcoming fun for the week ahead!

Hey guys, Jackie here,

How is it that we’re already just a short few weeks away from Christmas? I haven’t even begun shopping yet as my health has been on and off all week. I know there’s always the whole you can just shop online, but sometimes I like going to the store and looking at things in person. Though you should never take me to the bookstore around this time of year because I’d end up getting things for myself instead of the intended person. Anyways, aside from that it’s been a week with the wildfires in SoCal (thankfully we live nowhere near those flames) and at work we’re getting to learn more things after the start of the new year, which I’m excited about. Not that I don’t like shelving books but it’s nice to learn new things.

✖ Teaser Tuesday: Warcross
✖ “Waiting” On Wednesday: Wires and Nerve Vol 2
✖ Review: Invictus by Ryan Gaudin

Here at Bookmunchies we believe in being surprises for the week
(aka. we procrastinate, so we can’t tell you what’s quite coming up yet).

Glitter by Aprilynne Pike (2 stars) (DNF): The only book I’ve read this week that I ended up DNFed because the Glitter drug thing didn’t just sit well with me.

1. The Chaos of Standing Still by Jessica Brody
2. Fragments of the Lost by Megan Miranda

  1. I like ordering certain things online – things I know I can’t screw up. But when it comes to things like clothing and sometimes even certain electronic things, I also want to see them in the store first or buy in the store. The Man buys everything online. EVERYTHING!

    1. I used to like ordering books online but got wary when some books come in through the mail damaged. There’s a certain convenience of buying online but then I really also hate the waiting for it to arrive and stressing out if the package ends up lost or stolen.

  2. There are sometimes that must be done in person though I do love some online shopping! Hopefully you’ll get caught up soon. The fires in SoCal look scary but glad you’re not near them. Have a great week!

    1. Thanks. I think the fires has died down a bit but I haven’t been watching the news of late so I’m not sure where its been going. That’s true. I just hate the waiting part when it comes to online shopping, which is why the majority of the things I like buying in person.
