Weekly Wrap Up (57)

Welcome to the Weekly Wrap-up with Bookmunchies. This is our weekly update that combines Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer‘s SUNDAY POST and Tynga’s Reviews‘ STACKING THE SHELVES. This is a post to share news, to recap the week on the blog, share new reads and new books, and upcoming fun for the week ahead!

Ahoy all, Cyn here!

Eight days into April, still freezing, sigh. I know complaining won’t make it warmer, but it makes me feel better.

I feel like I haven’t really done anything interesting. I’ve been running a lot more. Finally did my first 10KM which was exciting. And I started a new podcast called Wolf 359, a sitcom-my, snarky sci-fi show about a team out in space.

Any suggestions for the next Netflix show to watch? I’ve been thinking of checking out the documentary series Wild Wild West.

Happy April everyone, hope yours is a warm one!

✖ Teaser Tuesday: Children of Blood and Bone
✖ “Waiting” on Wednesday: Always Never Yours
✖ Review: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

Here at Bookmunchies we believe in being surprises for the week
(aka. we procrastinate, so we can’t tell you what’s quite coming up yet).
(:

The Good Luck Sister by Jill Shalvis (3.5 stars): Such a cute novella from Shalvis’ Wildstone series! I’m so happy Tilly and Dylan got their HEA after seeing them in book one The Lost and Found Sisters!

Children of Blood and Bone (currently reading): I jumped on the bandwagon! Just started but pretty intense already! It’s been a while since I’ve read YA fantasy and this is a nice return to the genre. The cover was too cool to not check out anyway.

  1. It’s been cold here too, not much of a spring so far! Congrats on the 10K! And Wolf 359 sounds interesting, will have to check that out.

Wild Wild West does sound kinda fun.

  2. I haven’t been on Netflix in a while, but I did just watch all of The Good Wife on Amazon Prime which I would totally recommend. It was a lot like a soap opera though, so you have to be in the right mood for it. Have a good week! 🙂

  3. Complaining about the weather makes me feel better too. Congrats on your 10KM! That’s awesome. As for a new Netflix show, I suggest Santa Clarita Diet. I’ve only watched the first season (the second one just came out!) but I really enjoyed it. It’s a fun take on zombies and I thought it was really funny. I’ve been wanting to read Children of Blood and Bone, but the size is overwhelming lol one of these days! Have a great week!

  4. We were warm here until Thursday, and then we had some snow overnight. I am guessing that Spring went on strike this year. Enjoy the new books and your upcoming week too!

  5. Glad you are enjoying Children of Blood and Bone. I have this on my next list. I hope you have a great week of reading!

  6. Ho’omaka’i on completing your 10K. What a rush you must have had afterwards. I want to try to create a Bookstagram. I just finished knitting a pair of socks; it’s colorway was inspired by Harry Potter.
